Search for files by name
- On the toolbar, click Open
.
- In the Look in box, click the drive or folder you want to search.
- In the folder list, double-click the name of the folder you want to
search.
Search for
more than one folder at a time
- Under Find files that match these search criteria, enter any additional
search criteria you want.
For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then
click the option.
- To search all subfolders of the selected folders and display the folders
that contain the files that are found, click Commands and Settings
, and then click Search Subfolders.
- To search for files by specific or nontext file properties, click Advanced.
Using the Advanced
Find dialog box
- Click Find Now.
To cancel the search, click Stop.
Tip To use an existing saved search to find the files you
want, click Commands and Settings
,
point to Saved Searches, and then click the search you want to use.
