Search for files by name

  1. On the toolbar, click Open .

  2. In the Look in box, click the drive or folder you want to search.

  3. In the folder list, double-click the name of the folder you want to search.

  4. Under Find files that match these search criteria, enter any additional search criteria you want.

    For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then click the option.

  5. To search all subfolders of the selected folders and display the folders that contain the files that are found, click Commands and Settings , and then click Search Subfolders.

  6. To search for files by specific or nontext file properties, click Advanced.

  7. Click Find Now.

    To cancel the search, click Stop.

Tip   To use an existing saved search to find the files you want, click Commands and Settings , point to Saved Searches, and then click the search you want to use.
